Toymail was a small IOT tech toy startup. I worked with a team of 6 people to build the brand and the consumer experience from the ground up. I worked on marketing strategy, branding, user experience, and customer service. Our team was spread out all over the country, but we set up processes and ways of communicating ideas and sharing insights.
WEB DESIGN
At Toymail I had the opportunity to work on the website, built through Shopify. We tested landing pages constantly and live-tested brand elements such as color palletes, while simultaneously developing the toys with manufacturers overseas.
packaging
I worked on many variations of packaging, going so far as to put together handmade prototypes and do our own version of ‘user research’ by going out to 34th avenue and asking people to look at the box for 30 seconds and then explain to me their understanding of how the toy functions. The first image, below, is one of my hand-made boxes on the set of SharkTank.
Social
I also worked on social strategy and design, creating graphics that both explained the function of the toy, but also engaged with customers.
emails
I was responsible for coming up with email concepts, and then executing on them: writing copy, designing and coming up with strategy and reporting.
